About me
I first became interested in the power of the mind in 1982
when I took a course in Transcendental Meditation. This course
taught me the extraordinary benefits of relaxation through
the use of both mantra induced and guided meditation.
After leaving college in 1986 with a degree in Business Studies
I spent the first 15 years of my career working as a freelance
(board) games developer and during this time I worked on many
interesting projects.
In 1999 I developed a sports focussing game called ROLAZONE
which I worked on with David Hemery, the Olympic Gold medallist
and Sports Psychologist. David has written several books on
the subject of achieving sporting excellence through the use
of the mind. My work with David persuaded me to study the
subject further and I subsequently enrolled with the Clifton
Practice in Bristol where I trained to become a clinical hypnotherapist.
I now have a private practice in Crediton, Devon where I
utilise traditional suggestion therapy alongside more modern
techniques including SFBT (Solution Focused Brief Therapy)
CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and NLP (Neuro Linguistic
Programming).
I am a member of The National Council for Hypnotherapy, The
NHS TA Directory of Complementary and Alternative Practitioners,
The Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy
and The General Hypnotherapy Register.
I also run LetsBuyTheRainforest.com
a not for profit site dedicated to raising funds for the World
Land Trust.
