Tomlinson Hypnotherapy
I am a Solution Focussed Hypnotherapist with practices in
Exeter and Crediton. I am a member of The National Council
for Hypnotherapy (NCH), The NHS Trust Association Directory
of Complementary and Alternative Practitioners and the newly
launched, government backed, Complimentary & Natural Healthcare
Council (CNHC). I have full Professional Liability Insurance
with Towergate Professional Risks and operate under the strict
code of practice as laid out by the National Council of Hypnotherapy.
I first became interested
in the power of the mind in 1982 when I took a course
in Transcendental Meditation. This course taught me the extraordinary
benefits of relaxation through the use of both mantra induced
and guided meditation.
After leaving college in 1986 with a degree in Business Studies
I spent the first 15 years of my career working as a freelance
(board) games developer and during this time I worked on many
interesting projects.
In 1999 I developed a sports focussing game, which I worked
on with David Hemery, the Olympic Gold medallist and Sports
Psychologist. David has written several books on the subject
of achieving sporting excellence through the use of the mind.
My work with David persuaded me to study the subject further
and I subsequently enrolled with the Clifton
Practice in Bristol where I trained to become a clinical
hypnotherapist.
I now have private practices in Exeter and Crediton,
where I utilise traditional suggestion therapy alongside the
more modern techniques of SFBT (Solution Focused Brief
Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).
I also run the website www.IfBuddhahadHeadphones.co.uk,
where you can download my 4 Step Journey relaxation track.

bad news is I don't have any magical powers over you. The
good news, however, is that you do!...and my job is to help
